We are all cheering for our favourite Wild Rider Susie and other loved friends and family battling this terrible scourge called Cancer. Now let’s all sign up for BE THE MATCH. Why wouldn’t you?

Here’s a first for me …
Hi everyone and happy Sunday! It’s Victoria Day weekend here in Canada
so Monday is a holiday and there will be fireworks everywhere tonight and tomorrow evening from backyards to public parks. It’s always a good time and really is the unofficial kick-off to summer in this part of the world. Long lines of traffic head off to cottage country, boats are launched and bbq’s are fired up.
I was up in Collingwood yesterday for something I will talk about another time, but the drive through the rolling hills was beautiful. Today my DH and I are taking a lovely cruise through the countryside just north of the city to the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg. If I don’t hurry and get ready he will be leaving without me! I’ll tell you about it when we get back.
In the meantime, for the first time ever I have been interviewed as a character in my novel, The Promise of Provence by Stacy Eaton at the fabulous World Literary Cafe. I have to say it was great fun to really throw myself into Katherine’s personality as I had to do when I was writing. I hope you will take a minute to read the interview and let me know what you think … just click here to go to the World Literary Cafe site … thanks!
Have a bang-up weekend, whatever you are celebrating!
A video that speaks volumes … in every sense of the word …
It was so much fun and very rewarding to hear from so many people during our Celebrating Women event! Today I have to get my head wrapped around some serious work. This post is short and sweet but the message resounds.
Charles W. Eliot (1834 – 1926), The Happy Life, 1896
Whether we are talking about print or electronic these days, nothing diminishes the importance of books. This is my favourite video at the moment. Enjoy!
I first saw it on this awesome website Reading is Fundamental and hope you will find a few minutes to go there yourself. Children and books: spreading the word and helping to make it happen is the least we can do.

And the winner is …
If it’s Friday, it must be France …
Just a reminder that the book shown below is the prize to be won by one lucky person who leaves a comment about friendship on my blog this week! All the comments will be numbered and entered into random.org and … voilà … we will have a winner. I’ll make the announcement in next Friday’s post.
If you haven’t already done so, just go to this link and see all the great books and other prizes including an iPad Mini in our fabulous Celebrating Women event. This is where you need to leave your comment for me. Just do it!
You have three more days … I mean, who wouldn’t want to win this beauty?
You can see a little more info about the book by clicking here.
