Hi everyone and happy Sunday! It’s Victoria Day weekend here in Canada so Monday is a holiday and there will be fireworks everywhere tonight and tomorrow evening from backyards to public parks. It’s always a good time and really is the unofficial kick-off to summer in this part of the world. Long lines of traffic head off to cottage country, boats are launched and bbq’s are fired up.
I was up in Collingwood yesterday for something I will talk about another time, but the drive through the rolling hills was beautiful. Today my DH and I are taking a lovely cruise through the countryside just north of the city to the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg. If I don’t hurry and get ready he will be leaving without me! I’ll tell you about it when we get back.
In the meantime, for the first time ever I have been interviewed as a character in my novel, The Promise of Provence by Stacy Eaton at the fabulous World Literary Cafe. I have to say it was great fun to really throw myself into Katherine’s personality as I had to do when I was writing. I hope you will take a minute to read the interview and let me know what you think … just click here to go to the World Literary Cafe site … thanks!
Have a bang-up weekend, whatever you are celebrating!
Great interview and nice memories for me of when I read your book – which I enjoyed. Can’t wait for the sequel.
Patti
Thanks, Patricia! I’m working on the sequel right now and am trying not to let it take over my life just yet! You know how that goes …
Happy Victoria Day weekend! Enjoy!
It was a great weekend, Renée, and now you get to have one too!
Brilliant idea and wonderful interview! 🙂 xxx
Thanks, Edith. It is fun to get inside the skin of a character and see where it takes you.
What a cool idea. Lived the interview with Katherine.
It’s an interesting concept and I was surprised at how schizophrenically easy it was to become that other person. I may need therapy!
Haha. Not yet. You have to do it much more often, I think 🙂
Okay Patricia – this isn’t fair. I promised DH if he would give me the time to read and comment on just one post, I would stop and get ready for our outing. Now I can’t wait to read your interview as a character – but have to wait until late tonight or tomorrow. Gurr. You can be such a tease . . . . .
Sounds like a fun weekend! Happy Victoria Day!
Hey, Phil, enjoy your upcoming Memorial Day. Are you staying in NYC or venturing out of the city?
Enjoy your weekend. Looking forward to checking out your interview. 🙂
Thanks, Kitt!
What fun! Katherine is a great character to step into… looking forward to reading the interview. Hope you had a great time yesterday.
It was fun … of course that’s a fantasy I would not mind stepping into at the drop of a hat. Just don’t tell my husband …
Sounds like a blast! Yeah, couldn’t help myself, sorry. LOL I’ll check this out:) You’re always doing the most interesting things!
LOL – good one, Kate! How’s your writing coming along? I always look forward to your Kate’s Quickies posts. Let me know your travel plans and perhaps we can actually connect this summer up here.
Cool interview! Was it tough to do the whole thing as your character? Hope you had a lovely weekend! 🙂
Nice way to introduce a book. Thanks also for the introduction to World Lit Cafe!
