Thank you, Patricia, for telling me about Susie. I am now following her and also read her post-op blog. What a woman! Great attitude.
Good for you, Patricia! Susie is quite something and a very talented writer to boot!
Thanks, Patricia! I stopped by and loved the proactive ideas/approach.
So true, Kitt. It is so important to do what we can. We never know when our number might pop up.
Absolutely. I’ve got the triple whammy in my family history. Diabetes, heart disease & cancer.
Susie is an inspiration!
Exactly!
When Susie told me that she was ill, I felt very angry, which was irrational since it’s impossible to know who will develop cancer and why. Susie is handling this horrible setback with her usual blend of grace and humor. That impresses me very much. Nice reblog.
Our own dear Marta is battling cancer at the moment. Such a struggle, such a frightening experience. It marks a time in our lives when we just cannot give in to defeat, even though, we must also be allowed to feel down and feel the whole gamut of emotions that accompanies this time. It does us no good to cover over the symptoms with transcendental elegance. Cry! Feel sorry for yourself, be angry, rage, and find the truth deep within, the beautiful, transcendental soul that carries us through all adversity! Far be it from me to dish out advice, I wish you well soon,. Susie.
I know what you mean. Anger does seem to be our initial reaction … and why not … but, as you say, it is totally irrational and gets us nowhere. Trust Susie to take the approach she has!
I will hop on over.
Thanks, Brenda! It’s an excellent post for our Susie and everyone!
Susie is so cool. Plus she is very brave and I have been following her posts. She will beat this. We all are sending our prayers and thoughts for her.
