A treat for the weekend!

November 6, 2015 by Patricia Sands

If it’s Friday, it must be France …

Bonjour! I hope everyone is gearing up for a relaxing weekend. I’m happy to say I have something here to make your weekend even more enjoyable. The newest edition of The Good Life France digital magazine is ready to bring you hours of pleasure!

Janine Marsh with chickensIt’s hard to believe that this is the first anniversary issue. Félicitations and heartiest congratulations to Janine Marsh,  the gregarious founder and editor extraordinaire of The Good Life France. She’s an inspiring example of how to make one’s vision a successful reality. Janine’s boundless energy, enthusiasm and gift of being the busiest traveler I know, are just a few of the qualities that have helped her along the way. Add to that her ability to bring together talented writers and photographers and you have a winning formula!

Read more about Janine’s remarkable journey from when we chatted during her visit here on the blog last February. You will find all the links there to subscribe to and follow on all the social media platforms. Trust me, you don’t want to miss any of it!

Oh, and did I mention it’s all free? Oui! Free! Gratuit!

As always, TGLF magazine is filled with spectacular photography and an abundance of articles to suit all interests. There are plenty of great giveaways and book suggestions, as well, and a recipe for the most delicious unnamedlooking baked Camembert! (I believe even Philippe, our favourite fromager, would approve!) Go straight to page 94/95 and salivate over the photo before you rush to the store for the ingredients. Note to self!

When you have some time, pour yourself a beverage of choice, put your feet up, click here or on the cover and lose yourself in the pages. I know that’s what I will be doing when it’s time for a break from writing!

Bon weekend tout le monde!

Spring has sprung! Honest!

March 20, 2015 by Patricia Sands

If it’s Friday, it must be France …

Happy first day of the Spring Equinox … even though March 20 is being referred to as Freaky Friday by some! In spite of some unusual occurrences including a solar eclipse and a supermoon, there is no denying it IS the first day of Spring.

Oh! It’s snowing where you are? Again? Désolée!

Just keep thinking Spring … I’ll keep thinking that for you too! It really is here, but I’ve heard the news is a little slow arriving in some places.

I’m celebrating the arrival of the end of winter by beginning my countdown to arriving in France for our annual stay on April 26.

I’m sorry, but I just can’t wait … 37 more sleeps …

Here’s our first stop and I’ll be taking all of you along with me. No packing. No waiting in lines. You are invited to simply sit back, relax and take a vacation in your most comfy spot! It’s going to be magnifique!
