I’m just sliding in under the wire with this challenge from The Daily Post! The new one will be out in a day or two, but this was too much fun to miss! Here is my entry for “Perspectives”:

Sometimes, when you get very, very close to things, your perspective changes. Be sure to click on the photo to see a larger version.

Peeking into the tide pools on a beach at beautiful and wild Tofino, BC, offered hours of fascinating exploration. If you have never been there, add it to your wish list!
Pop on over to the photo challenge page to check out more entries. It’s worth the time!
Oh, Tofino. How I’d love to go there again. Or anywhere on Vancouver Island. What a wonderful, wild place. I even didn’t mind being denied one particular beach walk. Not when the reason was ‘bears at large’.
Oh my! You never know what kind of wild challenges Mother Nature will present at spectacular Tofino. I’m so glad you have been there!
Vancouver Island is very nice. I can believe the bears comment. We’ve had them in our yard several times and we live just on the outskirts of a mid-island town.
I think Vancouver Island is the best place to experience all Mother Nature has to offer. It’s a special and unique location!
Perspective certainly does change when you see the whole picture. That’s why it’s so important not to judge anything until you know all the facts and both sides of the story.
I love this post, Patricia.

Right on!
I know zilch about starfish, outside of Patrick in SpongeBob, Patricia. Was that one you photographed still alive? Great color!
Yup, all alive! Patrick was there too but wanted me to pay him if I took his picture!
Wow, and I used to think he was a nice guy. Yet another celebrity myth shattered.
That is pretty cool. I would have never guessed it was a starfish. That second photo is terrific.
Thanks, Phil! I was mesmerized … there were a ton of them and many different colours.
I love Tofino and just got back from a visit last month. I believe I saw that very same starfish. I recently blogged about my wonderful visit http://darlenefoster.wordpress.com/2014/02/23/tofino-get-away/
Wonderful photographs!
