If it’s Friday, it must be France …
Macarons for everyone! They go very well with champagne … and I would love to serve a glass to each and every person who helped make the launch of I Promise You This such a success last week. Thank you a million times over! Merci mille fois!
I want to send a special shout-out to all the readers in UK who, not only supported I Promise You This, but also bought The Promise of Provence in record numbers. I didn’t think to take a screen shot earlier this month, but did today to show how Book 1 in the Love in Provence series has been in the Top 100 for the past two weeks.
The online release party with BookRhythm was a lot of fun and so well-attended by readers from all over the globe, it was hard to keep up with everyone! Thanks again to all who took part and congratulations to the winners! There were a lot of you! Everyone will be notified shortly, if you haven’t already heard.
Now I’m working on my next novel and preparing to leave for France in two weeks. I know you will all be keeping me company and you can rest assured I’ll post lots of photos to help you feel you are there. I love taking you along!
Let’s start with this. Are you coming?
Thank you! I accept your invitation. I’ll join you for macarons and a glass (or two, or more) of champagne whenever it’s convenient for you. Of course, it will have to be a virtual reunion, as I can’t travel anywhere any longer… but I am already tasting those macarons (one or two of each color)! And at the same time we’ll be reading a chapter of each book, alternating between them. What a party! Merci mille fois!!!
I’m so pleased you are enjoying the macarons and champagne. It would be lovely to enjoy them together some day!
Thanks for helping to make the party such a good one!
Thank you so much also! ❤️ I am also not able to travel due to health concerns but love doing it this way with your books. This book was especially descriptive! I get such a sense of place from these books that feel as if I had been there and even met the people!
I appreciate that the main characters in your story are of a certain age and that their lives are full of new adventures and possibilities including romance.
Dear Renée, I’m glad that my books let you travel from home. That’s always my hope! Sometimes I worry about including too much detail, but so many readers like you say that’s what they love.So I’ll keep sharing all I can! Thanks for your kind words and good comments … and the encouragement you offer. Bon weekend!
Thank you so much for your reply!
I just also wanted to mention that I am a baby boomer and find that most non fiction is written with younger people as the main characters. I love reading about characters whose stage of life I can really relate to. I like to think that life has so much more to offer us no matter what age! Your stories are all about that!
I’m a boomer too, Renée, and I did not start writing novels until after I turned sixty. So I’m a big believer in following your dreams at every age and I love to share that philosophy in my books. I’m glad it resonates with you!
Well I already drank the champagne and I’ve eaten the macaron, now I just have to figure a way to get on that plane. The book is almost in my possession! Can’t wait to read it. I could keep reading your works forever…such a great escape. Thank you!
I love people who know how to party like you, Liane! Even if you can’t get on the plane, I’ll keep doing my best to help you feel like you did! It’s comments like yours that help me work even more diligently! I want to keep you happy!
Wishing you great success with the latest book, Patricia.
Many thanks, Anneli. I’ve been delighted with the way it took off … and how it has revived sales of the other two books in the series.
Your post will be up this week!
And now back to writing! Bon weekend!
So pleased your launch went well!!
Thanks, Darlene. It was a very satisfying week and so much to connect with so many readers at the online party.
