I loved your book The Promise of Provence. Like you I am in love with France. I travel there each year.
I tried e-mailing for the vintage postcard but the website no longer exists.
I’m dying to know what happens with Phillippe. Can you let me know.
Is your next novel a continuance of The Promise of Provence?
Thankyou;
Elsa Karas
Bonjour Elsa! Do you travel to different destinations in France or do you have one base? The vintage postcard offer ended last October and was very popular. Sorry you missed it and we will probably do something like that again. It was a lot of fun! Yes, Promises To Keep continues the story and then there will be four or five more books as life goes on there. Thanks for connecting here and if you want to know the latest news about the books, just click on my newsletter link. I send it out once a month and we often have contests. More fun!
Good luck
For all of you who may be on the fence about purchasing The Promise of Provence at this fabulous $.99 price don’t be. Posting my review written in 2013. (Goodreads & Amazon.
At the age of 55 Katherine Price believed she was content, about to celebrate her wedding anniversary. A bouquet of 22 pink roses (one for each year) awaited her when she returned home from work. Anticipating their evening together she began to prepare for their evening together and forgot to open the card that came with the flowers. After sometime had past James (husband) was nowhere to be seen Katherine opened the envelope to find a letter he left for her. James was leaving their marriage for someone else.
Katherine’s life was in a turmoil, her mother dies and she finds herself alone once again. Somehow she must begin to piece her life back together. Can she, with the help of her girlfriends she decides to go to Provence France on a home exchange program to try and find answers and begin a new life.
Ms. Sands description of Provence France places the reader walking along-side Katherine as she discovers the all that France has to offer.
This book was sent to me by Ms Sands. I was more then glad to review.
I recommend this book to all those whom have or wish they where in France. Katherine has quite a adventurous time in France.
Glad to know that that there is more to come and I can keep dreaming that I am in France entwined in their lives once again.
Carol, how can I thank you enough for being such a fabulous supporter? I am glad I can continue offering you opportunities to dream about France. The story is just going to keep getting better!
Patricia, Thanks for your gracious comment. Continuation of your writing and friendship is more than enough. Never imagined when I won a copy of The Bridge Club (your first novel) that I would be taking this journey with you. Watching your career develop has been exciting.
Thanks, Carol. It’s all thanks to you readers like you! 🙂
Great Book Patricia 🙂
Thanks! I am thrilled to know I will keep writing about that part of the world for some time to come. 🙂
I WONDER IF MY EMAIL IS GETTING THROUGH? I NEVER SEE IT “POSTED”, OR HEAR BACK. MAYBE I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG? JOY WOOD
Hi Joy! Here you are. I have responded to other emails from you. Did you not hear back from me? Please let me know so I can double-check to see what is going on. I know there is one waiting from you in my other account (that you sent about the cover) and I am going to answer it later this afternoon. Rest assured that I love hearing from you, so let’s get this cleared up in case there’s a glitch somewhere. Modern technology! Sigh …
patricia, I believe this is the first time I have heard from you. I am thrilled. such a talented lady, can’t wait for the new one. you mention happy endings. I like that, but I think this lady has made lots of mistakes, ( she is only human, after all) I can’t see her settling down with the current gentleman. who knows? patricia does. you are lovely, I think spending lots of time in france must make women more beautiful, such as you and Kristin. I have written to you about her and know you are friends. living in Oklahoma, urp, not good for the looks. thank you for writing. I am happy because of your note. you are famous and talented, I am just a lil ole peon. hee hee, joy
I want to be reading The Promise of Provence, at that table, under that tree, by that blue door. Heaven!
Bien sûr! Moi aussi!
Am on my way to download, and let me know if I can do a feature!
Thanks, Niamh! You are most welcome to do a feature any time you like. Just let me know what you need and I will happily provide it.
I just finished THE PROMISE OF PROVANCE, I really enjoyed the mix of travel description along with the story, a perfect blend. I have traveled to both locations in France and loved them. I too, read all of Maylers books on Provance. This book truly spoke to me and helped me answer some seriouse questions in my life. I just lost my husband, of 50 years. I was able to relate to the women, being fifty instead of 20 something. Even though she did not lose him physically it is still a grieving period one goes through and suddenly being alone brings up many questions. Well done. Look forward to PROMISES TO KEEP. Beverly
Dear Beverly ~ Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts here. I have sent you a separate email.
