So wish I could be there–love the cover of your book–I will be raising a glass to you
Thanks very much! I love the cover too! I worked with a talented artist in Toronto, described my ‘vision’ and also gave him some photos I had taken on previous trips. We consulted back and forth a lot and then he painted a water colour which we then formatted into a book cover. ~ clink ~ toasting back!
clink – bravo!
Have fun. I will be there in spirit!
Thanks, Darlene, for the writerly vibes!
Hope your book signing went well today at Heidis book shop in Antibes South of France #promiseofprovence
Thanks, Ann! It was a great party with lots of bubbly. There is never enough time to chat but it was lovely to meet readers from six countries! Heidi did a fabulous job of organizing.
Glad you enjoyed the day and a nice glass of bubbly too.at Heidis
Bookshop. X
Wow, that looks like such a cool bookshop – and I love that mellow looking little dog! I so wish I could be there right now rather than stuck here at The Grind. The closest I’ll get to France today is a screening of Godard’s Vivre sa vie at Lincoln Center.
It’s a very cool bookshop with a most eclectic selection … one of those pop-in-for-a-minute-stay-for-hours bookshops! The dog is the official greeter. Do they serve popcorn at the Lincoln?
No popcorn. No eating allowed. But they have a very chic dining area outside the theater where you can get gourmet food fare and wine for a pretty penny. Milton and I go offsite to an Irish pub to get our dollars worth like most working class cinemaniacs.
Wish to be there!
Amusez-vous bien et bonne chance.
Cheers,
Merci, Evelyne! Nous avons eu une bonne fête!
I’m sure it was marvelous and congratulations!
Would dearly love to be clinking glasses with you, Patricia, dear. I hope it was a great day. How interesting life is to travel so far, and yet stay so close to where we started. Lovely.
Congrats! This is so cool. Must be so much fun and exciting.
I am sure it went very well!
Thanks to Heidi and crew for a fabulous party! Write-up to follow!
