If it’s Friday, it must be France …
As we approached Nice International Airport in May 2011, we flew directly over the apartment building in Antibes that we were going to call home for five months. I had googled it so often in the preceding months, I knew precisely where it was.

It’s the largest of the white buildings in the lower right corner of the photo, with no structure in front to block the fabulous view of the harbour. If I could figure out how to put an arrow on the photo, I would show it to you. Trust me, it’s there!
Don’t forget you can enlarge any photo on my blog by clicking on it. The bigger, the better, applies here.
On the way home in October, I took this shot as we left the coast and flew over the Alpes-Maritimes. The dream-like quality of this image portrays my feelings as our fantasy came to an end … until the next time!

This challenge was issued by Marianne on her East of Malaga blog. Treat yourself and visit some other blogs participating in this challenge. Here are two of my favourites this week:
This next site didn’t post views from an aircraft but has an exquisite gallery of portraits. Love it! Click here and check it out.
Love the shot over Les Alpes. Beautiful. Very Shangrilah-like.
Thanks, Fransi. It reminds me to never stop dreaming … about France, in particular. LOL! Great fun to meet you in person on Thursday, all thanks to Claire in France.
No way!!! So envious 🙂 Still, its going to happen for me too in 2013 isn’t it Patricia!
Antibes looks like a great place to spend time. I love how the picture looks when you click on it.
IMHO, there’s no place better! 🙂
Patricia: it occurs to me you might like Margaret Lawrensen’s blog “Life in LaRoque.” She is a blogger living in France, and she tells great stories — and takes great photos. Google her! 🙂
Thanks for that info, Renée! I’m always looking for those kind of blogs and will dash over there tout de suite!
Always amazing photos. Dreaming of the day when we are in full recovery mode and can be up, up and away again. I love the mystic blue. TX for the blog tips for visitation. It’s grand to have references.
Thanks, Sheri! I’m sending positive vibes for a speedy recovery. Start planning how to make those travel dreams come true.
These are wonderful and I never get notices of her challenges but love her blog- thanks!
How lucky that you got to fly over where you were going to stay in Antibes, so you could get such a spectacular shot of it, Patricia. No wonder you felt misty-eyed when you left.
Fantastic shots, and thanks for sharing a link to Madhu’s blog 🙂
Beautiful shots!
The pictures are so clear and they’re really beautiful!
Thanks, Meg! I was surprised they turned out so well! Got to thank my trusty old Canon Rebel XT.
Very nice photo and I love it so much. I love seeing photos from the aircraft. Keep posting!
Hi Patricia, appreciate all the pingbacks! 🙂 Apologies for missing your lovely posts.
