Quelle surprise! We are in the Turks and Caicos Islands at the #1 beach on this list this week enjoying a tropical vacation … and of course, I’m writing! Take a look right here.
Even if you can’t be on one of these beaches right now, I hope you like to dream about them like I do. Is there a favourite beach you would add to this list?
Of course it’s not as much fun for me as dreaming about the south of France and my usual “If it’s Friday, it must be France … ” feature will be back next week. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t say something about my favourite part of the world here, though.
It’s the Carnaval de Nice for another week. Are you there enjoying the festivities?

Here’s this month’s great giveaway… one of my favourite books! Bonne chance!
See you next Friday ~ bon weekend, tout le monde!
Looks fabulous! It’s been warm here, but we only have reservoirs. Ha!
When are you heading back to Nice?
Never mind the beach … how’s the skiing? Has it been a decent winter for snow? We are leaving for France on June 13th. I’m already counting the days!
You sure have a way of making me wish I was someplace else – like the beach. Lovely photos. I’ll be enjoying a beach later this year. Right now, duties at the Inn are keeping me hopping. And, that’s a good thing.
Have a great week!

Good news all around! What beach are you going to? I’m glad you are busy at the Inn and will hop over to your blog right now to see what’s happening there!
I’ve got a Disney cruise planned for late November to the Eastern Caribbean. St. Thomas and a couple of other stops. Of course, Castaway Cay, the Disney private island is on the agenda.
I’ll be posting about that much, much later in the year.

Woohoo! That’s going to be a fabulous break! It’s so much fun to look forward to those kind of plans. 🙂
Thanks for inviting me. I am already there, stretching on the sand, dipping in the water, admiring the blue sky, listening to music, reading some books on Promises of Provence, but mostly – dreaming… Merci!!!
Dream on, my dear friend. It’s amazing where those dreams can take us!
Pour nous, croisière dans les Caraïbes dans un mois! J’ai lu ce livre sur Julia Child, tout d’une traite, durant une croisière en 2009. It is really a page turning book, like you say in english. What a fantastic woman! Looking to receive your 3rd book soon.
Une croisière dans les CaraIbes … oh là là! Je suis heureuse que tu as lu “My Life In France” 🙂
This must be the dream of many writers ~ to write and travel (or more accurately, to write during our travels). I have written briefly during a beach vacation few years ago. My most memorable vacation is in Sydney, where I sat in a beautiful park (Hyde Park) and wrote through the wintry mornings, returned in the evenings just before the sky changed colours and read there.
It sounds like your trip to Sydney left you with some beautiful memories. It’s a beautiful city…and so unique! I wish you many more such opportunities!
Beautiful captures. Roll on Summer. Our beaches may not be as stunning as those above, but beach is beach and I can’t wait to get there! 🙂
Roll on summer, indeed! It’s been a pretty brutal winter in a lot of places with sub-zero temperatures. We need to be warm!
