Thanks to my dear friend and extraordinary book reviewer, Claire McAlpine, for this timely post directing our attention to the urgent issue of human trafficking and the powerful work of PEN author Jennifer Clement.

Thank you for this post. I’m going to buy “Prayers For The Stolen”. When I saw the movies “Taken” and “Taken 2”, I could not believe that this is going on. Appalling. And a subject that needs to be at the forefront.

“Appalling” is the right word, Patricia. It’s just hard to believe that such evil exists, isn’t it?

Thanks for bringing more awareness to this horrendous issue, Pat. Both books look and sound insightful.

Yes, I agree that both books need to be read. It is so sad that this should even be an issue in our world.

Good to be able to help. Let’s do all we can so that things like these – and other similar events – don’t happen again, ever!!!

Keeping the message alive is at least one way we can all try to make a difference. Thanks so much!
