womens-prize-logoIs your TBR pile in danger of toppling, like mine? Thank goodness we have the choice of creating our literary towers in the virtual world now. Book reviewer extraordinaire, Claire McAlpine, has just posted the long list for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2013. I’ve only managed to read a few of these titles so have already added others to my tower.

Which titles have you read or added? Are you prepared to predict a winner at this point?

And may I just say, I look forward to seeing names from our great community of indie authors gracing this list in the near future!

I just read a post from a friend who is reading Gone Girl. She loves its twists, but I haven’t read it yet. As far as indie authors go, it’s a great time to be one. It’s a very “at large & in charge” sort of feeling. 🙂

LOL – right you are! Your definition is spot on. I keep hearing great things about Gone Girl too and it is on my tottering TBR list.

Just in general I have such a long list of books I want to read. The problem is just finding the time!

Oh man, I feel so UN-read! I have a huge pile of books next to my bed and another long list on my Kindle, but not many of the selections on this list. I need an additional two hours a day just for writing.

It’s incredible how the pile keeps building! I want to take a year off and just read!

Patricia – Thank you for publishing this list. I’ve read several but have picked out additional novels I’ve managed to overlook.

I think it’s a particularly fine list this year and wish I could just take a year off writing to simply read. Hmmm – maybe that’s not such a bad idea!
