Paw de Deux …I purr therefore I am …

April 20, 2012 by Patricia Sands Leave a Comment

If it’s Friday, it must be France …

This is a cat that gets around! This week two dear friends introduced me to Henri, the existential cat, on their fabulous blogs. Naomi Bulger in Melbourne, Australia and Tamari Etherton in California both featured this video  so you may have already seen it. I just know you are going to want to watch it again, right? How can you not?

For those who haven’t had the pleasure, enjoy it now. I simply had to share it with you! Trés amusant! (I’ve only watched it about a dozen times so far … just love him!)

Here’s the original video of Henri as he first shared his philosophical angst.

If you fell in love with him, as I did, you can also follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

BON WEEKEND!

The internet never ceases to amaze me. Whether you want to be educated or entertained the choices appear to be infinitessimal.  I particularly like it when something causes me to laugh out loud ! Was there something you came across online this week that really rocked your world? Henri certainly rocked mine thanks to Naomi and Tamari!

LOL Amber. I don’t know if I am just late to the party but I had never heard of Henri until this week. His “ennui” goes straight to my heart. Jean Paul Sartre would be proud!

Very good. Wouldn’t **quite** work the same way in English, would it? There’s something about that lassitude in the French accent that just gets to you. Very Sartre-esque, I agree. Lovely post, thanks for introducing me to Henri.

You’re absolutely right, Nicky. The voice has to be French.

And sometimes the cat door is not open. Yep.

Very cute! Aside from my cat being a short-haired cat, they resemble each other. I can imagine mine thinking pretty much the same way. Thanks for sharing, Patricia!

Somehow I imagine any cat living with you would have a much sunnier disposition!

J’adore Henri! I didn’t get a chance to see the original, so this was a treat for me. I hope you had a fantastic weekend!!

My husband just told me today that the next cat we get needs to be like Henri. Really? My husband is an odd one.
