If it’s Friday, it must be France … will be back next week …
As you know, I’m deep in revision world and the work is going well. This afternoon I stepped away for a couple of hours to attend a moving celebration of life for an old friend and wonderful person.
This poem was read by one of her children. I had never heard it before and it touched me deeply so I want to share it with you. When I googled the poem The Dash by Linda Ellis, I discovered there was also a YouTube video. Many of you may well have seen this before but it’s well worth the 2-1/2 minutes to watch again.

Our friend, Karen, spent her dash in the best possible way and this was celebrated with love and joy mingled with sorrow at her passing. It was agreed by everyone there, she would have been humbled and proud today. The legacy she left of her dash certainly caused me to think about mine. Does this poem inspire you to think about what you are doing with yours?
