Thanks for reblogging the good news Patricia and isn’t it great to see 4 women writers on the list. I have only read one, the NoViolet Bulawayo novel, don’t you love that name and I believe it is a pen name, not her real name. It’s certainly memorable.
My hope for the winner is for Eleanor Catton, her book sounds like a fabulous, enthralling read, structurally fascinating without imposing on the reading experience, a cacophony of alluring characters and a mystery to entice us through the excess of pages. And she just happens to come from NZ too. 🙂 It’s not often we have one on an international list, we need to raise the rooftops! Bonne Dimanche vous deux, presque voisins 🙂
As I expected, Patricia, I have not read any of these books, but last spring, I saw the play of The Testament of Mary on Broadway. You might ask, “How did that happen?” I got free tickets.
You are so well read I am impressed! I’m sure these are all great reads!
